Arohanui Hospice Launches Exclusive 500 Club to Foster Corporate Giving and Secure Vital Funding

Arohanui Hospice is proud to announce the launch of its new 500 Club, a unique initiative inviting corporate partners to commit to donating $500 per month.  This sustained support will directly fuel the essential services provided by Arohanui Hospice, offering the organisation some much needed long-term financial security and stability.

The 500 Club is designed   with the hope of helping to assure the financial sustainability of the Arohanui Hospice Foundation by embracing a stronger and more secure future. It also aims to reflect our Corporate Partners' commitment to the community, offering them public recognition as heroes whose contributions significantly impact the hospice’s day-to-day operations and help secure its future stability.

Arohanui Hospice invites businesses across the region to join the 500 Club and make a lasting impact. For more information or to join, please contact Kellie Montgomerie, Corporate Relationships Manager, at 021 518 355.

About Arohanui Hospice:

Since 1991 Arohanui Hospice in Palmerston North has been providing specialist palliative care for people with a life-limiting illness in the Manawatū, Tararua, Horowhenua and Rangitīkei regions.

  • Care provided by Arohanui Hospice enables patients to achieve the best possible quality of life, and provides support to their families.
  • Hospice care is holistic, encompassing the physical, psychosocial, spiritual and cultural needs of the patient and their family.
  • Care is free of charge and provided wherever people need it - at the hospice inpatient unit, at home or an alternative comfortable environment.
  • The services provided include support of the patient in the community, inpatient care, 24-hour advice, outpatient clinics, day procedures, an activities-based day programme, social work services, family support, pastoral and bereavement support.
  • The majority of patients cared for each year by Arohanui Hospice have cancer. However, we also care for people with non-malignant conditions such as motor neurone disease, respiratory disease and heart disease.
  • Arohanui Hospice is only partly funded by the government and each year needs to make up the shortfall in funding. In the 2024-2025 financial year the hospice needs to raise over $4 million from the community.
