Volunteer with Arohanui Hospice's Trees of Remembrance Campaign!
This December, Arohanui Hospice invites you to join our Trees of Remembrance campaign at The Plaza, proudly supported by Farmers stores nationwide. We're looking for volunteers to help at our stand, where you can make a difference by spreading festive cheer and supporting our community while raising essential funds for our hospice services.
Why Volunteer? Volunteering at our Trees of Remembrance stand is a wonderful way to give back to the community, connect with others, and support a cause that brings comfort and care to those in need. This year marks the 11th anniversary of our partnership with Farmers, during which customers have generously donated over $7 million to hospices across New Zealand.
About the Campaign: From mid-November until Christmas Eve, Farmers stores nationwide are supporting hospices through bauble sales and remembrance cards. Every dollar raised through the campaign goes directly back to the local hospices, including Arohanui Hospice. These funds go directly towards our annual funding shortfall, which this year sits at just over $4 million.
How You Can Help: Volunteer for a couple of hours at our stand in The Plaza Palmerston North sometime between 1st December and the 24th. Your presence will help create a warm, welcoming environment for shoppers and donors, and you'll be part of a team that makes a real impact during the festive season. Or, consider volunteering with your group, club, or a few friends to cover a day or two—it's a fantastic way to spend time together while supporting a great cause and making a bigger impact!
Interested in Volunteering? If you’d like to volunteer and help us bring a little extra joy to the community, please visit email our Volunteer Coordinator Bridget Williams bridgetw@arohanuihospice.org.nz or call 0800 666 090 to chat. Together, we can make a difference this Christmas season!
Join us and be part of a campaign that brings hope, love, and support to those who need it most. Let's make this holiday season truly special!
