Bereavement Support
We help you navigate your grief
Understanding and managing our grief can be challenging and even difficult.
Arohanui Hospice, through the Bereavement Support Team, offers several opportunities for those grieving to engage with us and with others learning to navigate grief.
We have a range of bereavement support services including:
- Bereavement Support – one-to-one bereavement support, family / small group bereavement support and bereavement groups.
- Spiritual support
When we are able to run groups safely onsite we offer:
- Bereavement morning teas. These provide a forum to learn about grief and loss and gather with others who have experienced a loss in a similar timeframe to yourself. The patient’s next of kin will receive an invite to attend in the mail.
- Bereavement Group. This is a four week, two hour sessions group that explores grief, healing, continuing connections and adjusting to changed circumstances.
